These past few years have been quite busy for Sonic, with multiple games and other multimedia projects in the works one would think the blue blur should be slowing down soon. As we all know though, Sonic is not one to slow down, and if current rumors are true another big project is in the works.

Known insiders Zippo, Necro Felipe, and Midori are now reporting that a Sonic Heroes Remake is in the works for the Switch Successor.

To give a full rundown of the events it all started with Zippo, who initially claimed that SEGA was planning a remake of a “big, important, seminal” 3D Sonic game in Unreal Engine 5.

Furthering corroborating the rumor was Necro Felipe of Universo Nintendo who clarified that the game in question was in fact Sonic Heroes. According to Universo Nintendo’s sources the game is planned for release on all modern consoles including the long-rumored Switch Successor. Necro Felipe also goes on to speculate that the game might release in 2025 but that is purely speculation.

Adding further fuel to the fire was Midori or @MbKKssTBhz5 on Twitter/X who has correctly leaked information on the Persona series in the past. They backed up Zippo and Felipe’s claims and also added that remakes of the Sonic Adventure games are not in the works right now.

While it would seem odd for SEGA to opt for remaking Sonic Heroes over the Adventure titles, given SEGA’s recent initiative to push Sonic’s friends into roles of prominence (Knuckles getting his own streaming series and Shadow receiving a new story in Sonic X Shadow Generations) it would make sense that they would want to highlight a game with a lot of characters like Sonic Heroes.

As with all rumors take this with a grain of salt but we will be sure to keep you posted on any updates on this or other Sonic news as it becomes relevant.

Square Enix have posted a new interview with Shaun Conde, voice of Genesis in Crisis Core: FInal Fantasy VII Reunion. In it, Conde sits down with Megan and Miguel of Square Enix to discuss his roots as a voice actor and his performance as Genesis.

The full 50-minute interview is posted for your viewing pleasure above.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is available now for Nintendo Switch.

  • We’ve correctly updated Bunbun and Hidody’s Umbra Radar prices and they now match that of similar Tems.

Balance: PvE

  • We’ve increased the the bonus that the Isolated Status Conditions offers while capturing Temtem, from 1.0x ⇒ 1.3x.

Just like every Kirby game before it, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has a fantastic soundtrack from top to bottom, filled with fresh tunes and remixes of old classics. If you’d like to own the soundtrack separate from the game, you’ll be happy to know that Nintendo is releasing not one, but two different physical versions in Japan.

On the game’s second anniversary, Nintendo and HAL have pulled back the curtain on the Kirby and the Forgotten Land soundtrack releases. First up is the Complete Soundtrack, which includes all of the game’s music and move dialogue a 40-page booklet and four CDs with 115 tracks altogether. The last track on the entire album is the Japanese version of the game’s theme song, “Welcome to the New World!”

Also packed inside the Complete Soundtrack is a photo frame that features a music box that plays a short version of the theme song. There will also be five swappable photo cards tucked inside as well. All of these goodies will come with a rather hefty price tag of $100, and the package will be available until May 7, 2024, or whenever the production limit is hit.

For those who want something a bit more straightforward, a Sound Selection album will be released as well. This includes 33 tracks on a single CD with a 6-page booklet. This release is priced at a much more manageable $16.

If you’d like to get a closer look at both versions of this soundtrack, you can find the official website here.

Earlier today, Shimamura revealed a new line of Super Mario Bros.-themed clothing for both men and adults. There’s a lot of Nintendo love in that lineup, but it turns out Shimamura wasn’t done with the Big N love just yet.

Shimamura has also pulled back the curtain on a series of lunch accessories that all sport Pikmin designs. You can see the bento-style box above for you store whatever tasty treats you want, but that’s not the only Pikmin-themed item up for grabs.

Shimamura is also offering a Pikmin-themed utensil set, mug and thermos as well. Basically, if you’re a Pikmin fan and you’re always on the go, now you can show off your love of the franchise with an entire lunch lineup!

There’s no word on these items seeing release outside of Japan at this time, but should that change, we’ll certainly let you know.

Believe it or not, this week marks the third anniversary of Monster Hunter Rise arriving on the Switch. Tens of millions of Switch owners have picked up the game in the last 3 years, giving Capcom plenty of reason to celebrate. In honor of the sales success and the 3-year anniversary, Capcom will be sharing concept art from back when Monster Hunter Rise was just an idea.

The first piece of concept art for Monster Hunter Rise can be seen above, and it shows off the break of dawn in the Shrine Ruins. This concept art uses quite a unique style compared to how the final game looks, but you can see how most of the major elements of this monster hunter experience are already at play.

Capcom will be sharing more concept art as the 3rd anniversary week rolls on, and we’ll make sure to keep this post updated with everything/anything showcased.
